Board members

Martin Desmond Muhwezi (Chairman of the Board)

Martin is a Financial Consultant. He started Investor Club Limited Company right after graduation that offers Financial Consultancy and Investment Advisory Services. Some of his clients are among the top five banks in the Country. His company has conducted financial literacy and education sensitization workshops in schools and for various Investment Clubs. One of his current lead projects is a partnership with Stanbic Bank to organize National School Championships (2017 and 2018) in Financial Literacy, Life Skills, Business and Entrepreneurship and overseeing a School Bank Project of Gayaza High School, one of the leading High Schools in Uganda. He is a board member of Cure Children Hospital Mbale, a world-class pediatric hospital specializing in Neurosurgery in Uganda. His experience will be vital in our entrepreneur related trainings.

Arora Majugo

Arora is a Social Scientist, with great interest in Community Transformation, specifically with a passion for children and youth. His career path includes working with the government Tax Authority, Publication Marketing, Management Consultancy of Small and Medium Scale Businesses and Civil Society work in Mental Health, Child and Youth Sector. His last employment was with Watoto Child Care Ministries where he served for over 10 year ending December 2017, the last three years of that period as the Executive Director, before moving on to establish Acquire Experience. His life mission is to have a positive influence on his nation, through enabling youth to discover and pursue careers in line with their interest, gifting and abilities.

Julia Majugo

Julia is a teacher by profession and the co-founder of Acquire Experience. Her teaching and administration experience has been in international curriculums both in formal school and homeschool setting. One thing that has stood out in her career life is "people helping." Her people helper work has included training life skills, parenting skills and marriage preparation (young adults). She has done this for adolescents, young adults, foster mothers and parents. She brings on board a voice for an outlook to education not as an end, but a means to unlock ones unique abilities. Her insight in how parents can be effective support partners to their youth’s education journey will be critical value added to the cause.

Daniel Ronald Ruhweza 

Daniel is an Advocate of the Courts of Judicature in Uganda and Lecturer in the School of Law, Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. He holds a number of responsibilities in the legal fraternity some of which are President Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity, Chair of the Uganda Law Society Committee on Rule of Law and Strategic litigation and Board member of Advocates Africa. He has great interest in mentoring students and young adults to achieve their fullest potential. Some of the student organizations he mentors are, Be-the-Change Uganda, Scripture Union, School of Law Makerere University Christian Union, Objective XXIX, Nemak Uganda and Secondary Schools. His other interests are in agriculture, photography, politics, travelling, reading and blogging. Dan is also a Rotarian. He brings on board guidance in engaging with educational institutions and legal advice.

Uwonakunze Cilia

Cilia is a Young Adults' Ministry coordinator at Watoto Church, one of the most influential churches in Uganda. With a strong focus on youth and community transformation, she mentors university students and fresh graduates towards a Christ centered culture, to help them handle challenges that come with transition into the world of work. She counsels, trains and equips young people with tools to enable them live with a sense of purpose and accountability. Her other experience is in organizing events such as camps and community outreaches, which attract thousands of youth.  Cilia brings on board guidance on appropriate and effective ways of communicating to the youth.

Henry Tugume

Henry is a Certified Public Accountant and a Project Accountant with Mott MacDonald a global engineering, management and development consultancy company focused on guiding clients through many of the planet’s most intricate challenges. His responsibilities include overseeing budgeting and forecasting, invoicing, disbursement and reporting for the firm.  The spread of his oversight covers project offices in 30 districts. He has also worked in the non-government organization sector in the area of Heath and Children.  Henry believes his life’s purpose is to inspire and mentor young people and adults whose path he crosses. His ability and experience will impart financial prudence and guidance in our financial planning.
